Overview
WaitQ is a newer cloud queue where guests can join with a QR code, at a kiosk or through staff entry, and get notified by SMS, WhatsApp, email or push. Plans start at $27 a month billed annually with a 7-day trial, and floor plans begin on the Grow plan.
Buying style: Self-serve How we compare
WaitQ is built around the queue. Guests join by scanning a QR code, tapping a kiosk on a shared tablet, or being added by your host. They can see an estimated wait, and you notify them by SMS, WhatsApp, email or push when it is their turn. A TV display shows the queue to people already waiting in your lobby. Appointment and reservation lists add bookings next to walk-ins, so one view holds the whole evening.
For a restaurant, the floor plan matters. Table assignment and floor plans begin on the Grow plan, and a restaurant on Odoo POS can import its floors and tables. That link reads the layout and does not change Odoo orders or payments. No Square, Toast or Clover link is recorded.
Pricing is public and priced per location, with unlimited customers and no per-customer fees. Starter is $27 a month as shown, billed annually, with one location and 100 SMS and WhatsApp credits. Grow is $49 with two locations, 400 credits and floor plans. Business is $119 with five locations and 1,000 credits. Extra locations are $20 a month each. The page also offers monthly billing, but its monthly price is not in the visible page text. Credits cover SMS and WhatsApp only, and messages stop when they run out. A 7-day trial is available, and signup is self-serve. The product is new, started in 2025, and has no store app or status page.
