Overview

Toast Tables is Toast's host-stand app for the waitlist, reservations and table management, sold as an add-on to Toast POS. The add-on is $50 a month with 25 reservations a month, and the Plus tier is $199 a month.

Buying style: Sales-assisted How we compare

Toast Tables is the host-stand app that Toast sells to its own POS customers. On a Friday night, the host adds walk-ins to the waitlist, or guests join online from your website, a QR code or Google. Guests get a text when the table is ready. Wait estimates come from a manual multiplier or a smart algorithm, and two-way texting works in the US and Canada.

Reservations and table management are in the same app, with a floor plan, server assignments and cover counts. Table and service-area setup flows in from the POS, and seating a party can pre-open an order for the server. The app runs on iPad, Android tablets, phones and desktop computers, but not on Toast POS hardware, so plan a separate device at the stand.

Pricing comes from the site owner and is not on Toast’s pricing page. Toast Tables is a $50 a month add-on to the Toast POS base service, and that base tier caps reservations at 25 a month. Plus runs $199 a month. Customers in the US add it in Toast Shop. No page read says it is sold without Toast POS, so a restaurant on another register should ask Toast first.

Who it's for

Best for

  • Restaurants already on Toast POS that want the host stand, waitlist and reservations in the same account source
  • Walk-in-heavy rooms that want table-ready texts, with wait estimates and two-way texting in the US and Canada source
  • Hosts who seat from a floor plan and want an order opened for the server on the POS source

Not ideal for

  • Restaurants on another POS, since no page read says it is sold on its own source
  • Rooms that take many reservations on the base tier, which caps them at 25 a month source
  • Owners who want a standalone price page, because Toast's pricing page does not list Toast Tables source
