Overview

Eat App is a reservation and table management product with a waitlist that sends text alerts, on iPad, mobile and desktop. Paid plans start at $99 a month billed monthly, with a 14-day trial and no card needed.

Buying style: Self-serve How we compare

Eat App comes from the reservation side of the business. A host at a busy stand uses it for the booking book, a live floor view of tables and the guest list, and the waitlist is one part of that. If your Friday looks like half reservations and half walk-ins, that mix is what it is built for.

For walk-ins, staff add a guest by hand with a wait estimate, or guests join from the booking widget when you are fully booked, or by scanning a QR code at the door. When a table is ready, one tap sends an SMS to that guest. The vendor also supports two-way WhatsApp messaging. Venues with a POS can link it for guest spend and order history; Square and Lightspeed are listed as available.

Pricing is public and self-serve. The Free tier is $0 and capped at 100 guests a month, with no SMS. Lite is $99 a month billed monthly, $69 billed yearly. Core is $199, or $159 yearly, and Pro is $389, or $299 yearly. Enterprise, for 8 or more venues, goes through sales. Every paid plan has a 14-day trial with no card. Check what each tier includes before you commit: QR at the door and the online waitlist show as Pro features, with add-ons priced below that.
